WordPress Hosting and Plugins?
by admin on Thursday, February 17th, 2011 | 7 Comments
I’m wondering if there are any web hosting companies that host wordpress blogs for free, or for very little money. I’m working to create a photoblog and want to install my own plugins onto a wordpress site but most of the free hosting companies will not let you install your own plugins.
Help?
Check out http://buywebspacetoday.com/recommended-web-hosts/ for good web hosts. Their plans are affordable, as low as $3/month, and they all have application installers that enable one-click WordPress installation. Once installed, you can use whatever plug-ins and themes you want in your WordPress site.

Yeah, still aftermath does. The cpanel that comes with the webhosting allows you to go into fantastico and install wordpress with just a couple of clicks. It’s super easy. From there you can just create your blog with wordpress like you normally would. They use TrialPay to allow you to get it for free.
You could also e-mail them to see if they would sponsor you in exchange for advertising on your blog at sponsor@stillaftermath.com

Not free, but 4.95 a month will get you everything you could ever want, including control over what you do with your own site.

Every host where you can install wordpress will allow you to add plugins. Either this host free or paid. Only in WordPress.com, you can’t install wordpress plugins. With wordpress.org, you can always install plugins, it doesn’t matter where you host it.
Don’t look for free webhosting companies, because they will be working in a few weeks for the beginning, after that, you will have lots of problems (database maintenance, site maintenances) or even they can suspend your account, this will make you wasting your time and work for your website.
Better pay a little bit more, but you have "solid" website, and no need to worry about those problems. Do google search about webhosting reviews.
I reccommend that you install wordpress to your local computer (offline) to get familiar with it, and once you like to work with wordpress, you can then think to buy webhost and domain.

For about $5 bucks a month you can use hostgator.
I use them for tons of sites, they are great to work with, and are in texas.
have fun!

The WordPress software comes free (in your control panel) on most web hosting accounts.
