Where can I find a free or cheap Website host?
by admin on Monday, February 21st, 2011 | 13 Comments
I just canceled a website with Citymax because I wasn’t satisfied, I have a business and need to start a new website. I know nothing about html or creating websites so I need someplace that is straight forward and easy. I already have a domain name, just need to create my website. Any ideas? Thanks!

Freewebz.com ….. you have 2 options of use with them, advanced editor, requiring you to make the pages and do the coding, or beginner, which gives you templates to use. The site is completely free, and very reliable … the only free host I actually recommend.

Cheap hosts:
http://www.hasweb.com/
http://www.1and1.com/
I have used both and they are two of the very best, I wouldn’t look anywhere else.

One place that you could try is http://www.freewebs.com because I know for a fact that you can create a free website, and you will probably be satisfied with the site because I created a site on freewebs, and I’m extremely satisfied with it. I hope this helps.

Yahoo offers free webspace. They offer a site builder and many other utilities to help someone that doesn’t know html. Their site statistics are excellent. Try Yahoo Geocities.

If you are a business, then you need something dependable.
I recommend either http://www.hostforweb.com or http://www.hostgator.com
$10 per month gets you alot for your money and they are really dependable, and when you have a problem, they get it fixed fast.
As for knowing html, some host will have an online website creation tool, but those hosting companies aren’t really the best, and they will charge you alot and not give you much in return.
HTML is easy, it just seems scary.
You can get any cheap website maker, or free one, and any cheap ftp client or free one and you can get your site going.
of course the more you know, the better looking site you will have.
Try Filezilla for your FTP client, or FTP surfer, FTP surfer is easier for a beginner, but I would choose Filezilla after you get to know how things work.
