Need affordable web hosting for a blog I want to write. Thanks is advance.
Personally, I use HostGator for my WordPress powered blog. All I can say it’s the best host out there! Their support is so helpful and friendly. Also no down-times experienced. You can take a look on what others think about HostGator over at http://WebHostingRatings.org/hostgator/

I have used http://www.dreamhost.com/ in the past and they have a 1-Click install of WordPress, you just tell it where you want to install and it emails you when its done.
There are other hosts that offer it but thats the best I’ve used

Mike,
Most web hosting providers give you what is called as Fantastico. It is a script that helps you install a whole range of stuff like WordPress or forums etc with a single click.
Just pick a good web host and go for a linux shared hosting plan. You should be comfortable.

I am a big fan of HostGator. They offer cPanel with Fantasico so installation of WordPress is very easy and their customer support is good.

I highly reccomend using hostgator. Prices start from just $4.95 per month. I install wordpress using hostgator for all my clients requesting a new wordpress blog creation and all of them, including me, have had no downtime since first creating it.
Pm me if you have any questions.

I am using bluehost and they have a one click installer of wordpress. All you need to do is to simply give some basic details of the blog and the buil-in feature does the rest! Also, they are extremely affordable, just $3.95 a year!
