Cheap Dedicated Server: the Ins and Outs of Hosting Service Selection
At this juncture I will go over the ins and outs of shared web hosting (administered and unmanaged), reseller server hosting, virtual private server packages, exclusive server hosting, and even arrangements your own sites on your own personalized servers. Stick on by!
Noticing a cheap dedicated server arrangements answer can be a harrowing experience particularly if you are brand new to this topic. Practically, hundreds of posts across the internet are being passed back and forth debating the merits of various individual-only setups services.
The bottomline is this, Finding a cheap individual-only hosting server purchase is not difficult. Here is the rule of thumb for beginners:
1. shared web hosting traditionally gives you less performance as you are Literally sharing your web hosting with many other accounts subscribers, sometimes hundreds or even thousands of them. Also, you will get less access to the technical aspects of the setups. Clearly this is a good answer for beginners.
2. reseller arrangements gives you a bit more flexibility, but ultimately all the shared accounts will be sharing resources such as CPU and Ram. You get a bit more control in that you can setup accounts and your own domain names. This is an attractive server hosting alternative for those with lower to medium trafficked sites.
3. virtual private server packages is pretty much the same as the previous options in terms of it still being a ‘shared’ answer, but it gives you far more control over your own arrangements environment, and giving you greater resources allocated solely for your needs. This is normally the step individuals pursue who do not need a full-blown individual-only server package off the bat.
4. personalized hosting is what it sounds like, you get the whole shebang, total access to your hosting machine and you are free to alter the server requirements to whatever you desire. You get better performance and flexibility.
Those previously talked about alternatives are for the most part what’s ready to website owners everywhere. It’s not always cut and dry in terms of how to choose the best packages solution. I.e. you should never base it solely on price. Reputation and years of operation of the firm are crucial points. Don’t entrust your ecommerce presence to undependable operations!

Cheap and reliable website hosting?
I’m looking into starting a website for my university’s rowing team. I don’t need anything fancy or with many features. Are there any suggestions for a good host? Thanks!
Cheap and reliable are mutually exclusive in web hosting. Low-cost and reliable is more likely. It all depends on the amount of traffice you expect to get, and what you plan to host. If it’s just basic text and pictures, most hosting services will do nicely. If it’s going to be more of a watching video, downloading pictures, etc.. kind of site, you’ll need more bandwidth and reliability.
I’ve used some real low-dollar (like $5 a year) hosting without problems, and I’ve had some $125 a year packages that went down constantly. Customer service is the biggest issue – you need to be able to get ON THE PHONE with someone if the site goes down. Waiting for email support tickets for days while your site is down is frustrating.
As far as features go, most hosting packages these days are similarly priced for similar add-ons.
You might want to consider asking the IT department at the university if they will allow you to host the site on their equipment. They usually have a few T1 connections and can probably spare the bandwidth, plus the support is right there. Just a thought.
Hope that helps,
Jason

Free Domain Name & Cheap Web Hosting Review
Free Domain Name & Cheap Web Hosting Review
Free realm names and cheap mesh hosting plans are all since the web! In fact, slick are thousands and thousands of lattice hosting providers, universe wide, that advance unrecompensed crown names & cheap web hosting.
Luckily, the InfoDogs have blase weeks searching the universe made passable net and carefully reviewing the elite cuffo division names and tawdry mesh hosting plans.
Free county names are the easy; you either achieve one or you don’t. (We’ll focus on the web hosting providers that carry off adduce complimentary sovereignty names.) Cheap website hosting is the unimpeachable request though. Cheap web hosting is obviously preferred, but you need to select your web hosting plan based on cost and the hosting services your website requires.
Shared hosting is the cheapest lattice hosting box seeing your website consign accrual hosting convenience on a server with at odds websites. Shared web hosting is ravishing for proper websites, small businesses and anyone on a small budget.
Dedicated hosting leave price more, but your website commit sit individual on one website hosting server, which is proper wanted for hosting websites with a barn door price of visitors or hosting long big files such as videos or music.
Make thoroughgoing to skin exaltation to the amount of lattice convenience and dispatch allowed. Web liberty is adore the formidable drive on any computer; there is a limit to the number of files you can save. Transfer, also known as bandwidth, is the amount of information downloaded when someone visits your website. This is critical if your website gains a significant number of visitors or includes large audio or video files. Web hosting providers will jack up the fees if your site goes over the allowed web space or monthly transfer limits, similar to the charges for using extra minutes on a cell phone.
A associate of assumptions before we get to the prime three gaudy mesh hosting companies: I’m activity to surmise that you’re looking for the unimpeachable cheapest lacework hosting available, based on cost, and that you’re O.K. with a “shared hosting” plan. With that in mind, let’s sway on to the top three free domain name and cheap web hosting packages.
#1 Free Domain Name & Cheap Web Hosting Package Host Monster. Host Monster is the best! They delicate concert “cheap web hosting” with big amounts of lattice good luck (50GB) and an sensational
value of weekly funnel (999 GB). The 24/7 tech support is an absolute must for any website hosting service and Host Monster has that too. All that aside, what really pushed Host Monster to the top of our Cheap Web Hosting list is the .95 monthly plan, one free domain name, and the ability to host unlimited domain names! That’s right, Host Monster allows you to host an unlimited number of websites for only .95 a month. Host Monster crushes the competition for cheap web hosting.
#2 Free Domain Name & Cheap Web Hosting Package 1and1. They are the cheapest net hosting lift in terms of newspaper appraisal at deserved .99/month, which is insanely cheap. In fact, it’s the cheapest expense per occasion I’ve surpassingly empirical on website hosting. 1and1 besides gets high marks for reliability, customer service and being the largest website hosting provider in the world. Another benefit is one free domain name is included, but the storage (5 GB) and transfer (250 GB) are the lowest on this list and only allows a total of 10 domain names per account. 1and1 does offer some great features such as free blogging tools, a website builder and a photo gallery. If you’re new to website hosting, or are strictly looking to build a small website on a tight budget, this is an excellent place to start, just be aware of the storage and transfer limits.
#3 Free Domain Name & Cheap Web Hosting Package Start Logic. Decent amounts of space (50 GB) and lug (750 GB), but are slightly less than Host Monster. Start Logic further boasts 24/7 tech aid and will hurl in one gratuitous realm name, but diagnostic allows a impair of 10 domain names per account. As you can see, Start Logic and Host Monster are very similar, but the smart move is to get the unlimited domains and higher transfer with Host Monster for the exact same price, .95 a month.
Basic to Advanced Website Set Up, Growth and Maintenance For Your Internet Marketing
Build a web presence of some type, and people will visit when you send them there. With web building costs ranging from free to inexpensive to sky high, it may be difficult to choose how best to proceed to establish and grow a presence. So here are some helpful tips.
No Cost Website Building
Many places abound today for you to pitch a cyber-sign, a very active one, too. Use to be you choose a free hosting site, placed your web page there and then suffered huge flashing banners, pop ups and other annoying ads with no control over the content showing. Some of this still applies today, but thankfully to a much lesser extent.
You can go to any of these places to build. Register and then use the sites’ building tools, adding money-making generators like Amazon affiliate code, Adsense and more:
Blogger.com
Wordpress.com
Squidoo.com
Hubpages.com
Myspace.com
Many times hosting services allow you to build for free if you purchase a domain there, like with GoDaddy.com. The sites, blogs or other web pages will bear ads, though, unless you pay for their removal by upgrading to paid hosting services at various levels. But they are still fine for beginning pages.
Also use these for testing sites and to build up a presence with social networking. Keep in mind your content could be removed, closed down, banned or otherwise not showing for any number of reasons, since the hosting bears no costs. So backup / save your content to re-use if you need to, so your articles, sales letters and other content do not go to waste.
Intermediate & Advanced Web Building Skills
Pick up a book at the public library on HTML website code and learn to build webpages on your own. Or learn from online articles and courses. You can also find inexpensive interactive courses at Virtual University (VU.org) for roughly $15 for a total of up to three courses.
Then choose a hosting company like HostGator.com or GoDaddy.com. These larger companies offer plenty of help via phone, online chats or email.
Think about using templates, too. Over 6 million listings appear for the term, “website templates” in Google. So there are plenty to choose from in all budget ranges. Popular places to go are:
Template Monster http://www.templatemonster.com
Boxed Art http://www.boxedart.com
Dream Templates http://www.dreamtemplate.com
DotcomBuilder http://www.dotcombuilder.com
You can find software to create sites. Some popular kinds are older Microsoft Frontpage versions and the newer Expression Web 2 or XSitePro.
If you are like many business owner operators, you may have little to no time for keeping up with technology and the Internet as advancements occur regularly. So consider outsourcing your website needs. You can find affordable, experienced help at freelance bid sites like Elance.com.
Simply register for an account, post information about your project and invite skilled service providers to bid on your project. See other current project listings for ideas on how to write up your project and price accordingly, too.
Also head to active forums that are focused on Internet marketing like the WarriorForum. You can find members for hire who can build, maintain and grow your web presence for you at affordable rates, too.

Private Label Articles – Cheap Website Content Here
A popular way to build a website today is to use private label articles for the content. Since there are a number of ways to set up a site strategically with these articles, here are some basics to get you started.
First of all, make sure that your private label articles are unique and branded. If you’ve purchased the articles from a place that sells the same ones to others, revise them a little and insert your own content here and there to make them a little different from those of fellow article buyers.
Next get a website up and running. Fast and easy places to turn for this are http://DotcomBuilder.com and http://GoDaddy.com where you get help setting up professionally designed templates almost instantly, even entire turnkey operations with DotcomBuilder.
You can also set up cheap hosting and sites with http://HostGator.com. After you sign up, head to your cpanel or control panel, and set up modules via the Fantastico button there: WordPress blogs, Joomla content management sites, forums and more.
Use your private label articles any number of ways like these:
– To discuss your products and services. After you can set up your basic index page announcing your main product(s) or service(s), set up the navigation or menu tabs with your other pages like About Us, Ordering, Contact Us. Add another menu tab for Articles, and then link private label articles to an Article page.
– To create article directories. Add a script that sets up a directory on your site like ones at http://GoArticles.com and http://EzineArticles.com. Then start filling out your article categories with your articles, and invite your readers to submit their content, too, to increase traffic, links and rank popularity.
– To grow a forum. Head back to your cpanel or control panel and add a discussion board or forum through your Fantastico module. Then set up a section for Articles on your forum and submit yours there. Invite your website visitors to register and submit their articles, too, and get discussion going around your article themes, products and services.
– To set up a review area. People love to read product and service reviews. Use your private label articles as content surrounding reviews or in addition to them, inserting more specific information within them. Then set up a Review section, similar to an Article section, with a tab on your menu, or converting an article directory script to product review directory. Get creative!
– To post case studies. Another popular reason people surf the net if to read case studies. So use your private label articles as content for case studies in your niche industries. You can add quotes from experts, add video or audio clips, stats and more.
There are many more ways to use your private label articles as cheap website content. Dig in and learn all you can about private label rights and in particular private label rights articles to see how your business can benefit.

Starting a Profitable Internet Marketing Business in 4 Easy Steps
In this article I want to show you how you can easily create your own money making home based internet marketing business in 4 easy steps – without breaking the bank.
I’m going to assume that you don’t have much spare cash to invest in your business (or that you you want to create your business with as little up-front investment as possible).
I admit it, I don’t like spending money where there are free or low cost alternatives, so if you’re like me and don’t want to bankrupt yourself but DO want to create an online income from internet marketing, then this article is for you.
It doesn’t really matter whether you just want to create a little extra money to supplement your 9 to 5 earnings, or whether you want to develop a full time money making empire; the principles of making money online from internet marketing are the same.
Step 1 – Get your product(s) to sell
Perhaps the cheapest way to get products to sell is to create your own ebooks or reports; this involves minimum upfront costs (just the purchase of a good pdf compiler, available from less than $20) and each report or ebook you sell represents 100% profit.
Alternatively, find a suitable product to promote as an affiliate (there is a huge range on Clickbank, or try Commission Junction). Marketing an affiliate program may well be the best choice if you’re completely new to internet marketing as you not only get a ready made product but will often get marketing materials as well. Using the affiliate marketing route, you will receive a commission for every sale you make (which could be up to around 75% of the sale).
Whichever route you choose, try to ensure that your products are for a market that is in demand and for which there are ready buyers.
Step 2 – Create your web site
Even if you have no experience designing and creating a web site, the days when you needed an in depth knowledge of HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) coding have long since passed. If you have this skill then great, but it’s now very easy to create your site without any knowledge of HTML at all. There are numerous (free) web site design programs you can use – Microsoft’s Frontpage, Nvu (available from download.com) or the excellent MyFreeWebsiteBuilder are the best known examples – which are true visual design programs (i.e. what you see is what your get, aka wysiwyg) which don’t require any knowledge of HTML at all.
There are however a few rules to follow when designing your web page(s):
- Keep it simple – visitors to your page(s) should be able to see at a glance what you have to offer.
- If you are promoting more than one product, place them on seperate pages so that you focus your visitor’s attention on one product at a time
- Use the minimum number of typefaces (fonts) that are easy to read
- Use colours in graphics that are compatible and easy on the eye, and avoid blocks of text that use colour. As a general guide, use red text for headlines, and black or blue for the body text
- Show your enthusiasm for the products your are promoting – if you don’t demonstrate enthusiasm then you’re unlikely to get a positive response from your prospects.
Sending good quality traffic to your site and it not converting into sales has to be one of the most frustrating things as an internet marketer. A number of reasons can cause this, of which poor site layout is one – visitors aren’t turned into customers and leave the site without making a purchase, so engaging the visitor is something you should always keep in mind.
Step 3 – Get your page(s) hosted
You could spend hundreds of dollars getting your pages hosted, but why do that when you can get quality, professional hosting for only a few dollars per month?
Try to ensure that whoever you choose to host your site provides an easy to use panel for uploading and editing your pages, has sufficient web space for your site to grow, and provides built-in email (so that your personal email remains seperate from business emails).
If you really want to get up and running with minimal cost, why not create your web site using the free hosting provided by WordPress? Although WordPress is intended for simple blogging, there’s no reason why you can’t generate a blog that is marketing related!
Step 4 – Get visitors to your web pages
Once you have created and uploaded your page(s), your next step is to drive visitors to them. You could pay for ads using Google Adwords, MSN, or Yahoo, but why not start with generating your own free traffic? Join a traffic exchange (most are free for basic membership), create interesting articles related to your market and post them on article directory sites (free, and great for getting links back to your site).
It’s perfectly possible to generate a large and growing number of visitors just using these free methods.
Just remember when placing ads on traffic exchanges that you have a limited amount of text space to grab attention, so make sure the headline and subtext will entice viewers to click!
For best results with articles, compose them with a liberal sprinkling of keywords related to your topic throughout the text, and make sure you include a link back to your web page(s) in the resource box at the end of your articles.
Monitor the results of your traffic generation strategies, and apply your main energies to those that produce the best results first before spending too much time modifying those that are not producing results.
Once you have followed all 4 steps above, you should be well on your way to generating that extra income. Best of luck!

Cheap Web Hosting for the Penny Pincher in All of Us
If there’s one thing I know, it’s the Internet. I’ve been online for many years and I have numerous websites. Each site is hosted by; you guessed it, a web hosting company.
When I began online with my first website I signed up for an account with a company and received 50 MB of space and 200 MB of bandwidth for $29.99 a month. Back then this was considered an amazing deal and this company blew the competition out of the water.
Today however, you would be crazy to pay $29.99 for such little storage space and bandwidth. I’ve been with numerous hosting companies in the past and what is more important to me than price and features is the quality of their customer service. I need to know that if I have a problem or if my site goes down, I won’t be left in the dark.
In 2001 I had several sites hosted with a company that went down because of a server crash. I received hundreds of e-mails from angry customers asking when my sites would return. I called my hosting company and they expected the problem to be fixed within 48 hours. 48 hours?! WHAT?!
I quickly signed up at another web host and changed my DNS details on all of the domains. I was up and running again within a few hours. Even though I was paid up in full for a few more months with the previous company, you can’t put a price on your reputation and customer satisfaction. Besides, I would have lost more money than I spent if I had waited 48 hours for my sites to come back up.
Many hosts tend to oversell their plans, and that’s something I’m not a fan of. Here’s an offer I just saw last week:
500 GB of space
3,400 GB of bandwidth
All of this for only $9.99/month. C’mon now… unless your site is MySpace, do you really need that much space and bandwidth?! My experience with these crazy offers is this… most hosts cap you at 10% CPU resources. Sure you can have all the bandwidth in the world, but you won’t reach your limit before they cut you off for using too many resources on their server. To the beginner website maker, this offer may look very appealing and almost too good to be true. Don’t fall for it.
The best offers from web hosts I’ve seen give you a reasonable amount of space, I said REASONABLE amount of space. Don’t buy more than you need.
I’m presently with a host that I absolutely love. It’s fairly new company out of Canada, but they’ve proven themselves early in the hosting game to be a major player. Their support desk is there whenever I need it, and I have all the features I need to run my sites.
If you’re looking for a cheap host that does not skimp on customer service and friendliness, I highly recommend TribuneHosting.com.
