Looking for Cheap Hosting Prices But not Cheap Hosting?

Are you looking for a web hosting service provider for your Internet business? If you are, perhaps you may find this article useful. You see, many inexperienced Internet business owners make mistakes when it comes to choosing a reliable web hosting service provider. Those mistakes usually stem from making buying decisions based purely on price alone. Here is how the scenarios usually play out.

Cheap hosting prices.

Web hosting providers usually use cheap hosting prices as a bait to lure new customers to sign up with them. The prices are so cheap that one would think why they are even offering their hosting services. It’s almost like a miracle business – nobody knows how they make money. Obviously, something is not quite right. Still, many sign up because they cannot resist the temptation.

To make things worse, some web hosting providers even offer unlimited everything! You get unlimited domain hosting, unlimited web space, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited databases, and so on and so forth. And if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. It is not viable to provide features that are unlimited. Here’s why.

What happens is that when hosting providers do that, customers start to abuse the servers by loading hundreds of websites on the servers. They have every right to do so. After all, the hosting providers did promise them unlimited everything. Over time, the server starts to overload. It slows to a crawl at first, and eventually hangs. The server will have to be rebooted regularly, leading to downtime. Eventually, even rebooting doesn’t help. As soon as the server goes online, it gets bombarded with boatloads of traffic going to the hundreds of sites that the server is hosting, and the server goes down almost as soon as it goes up.

As an Internet business owner, you can’t afford to have that happening to you. Your sites are like your cash registers. If they go offline, you can’t make any sales, and you certainly can’t collect any money. So beware of web hosting companies that offer unbelievably cheap prices with unlimited features.

Cheap and reliable hosting.

What you need is actually reasonably cheap and reliable hosting services. Reliability is of utmost importance in the web hosting industry. If your website constantly goes down, it’s very difficult to make a living online. Often, you hear horror stories of websites going down for days in a roll with no response from the hosting provider. That means loss of income for any Internet business owners.

To avoid undue stress and unnecessary worries, it makes sense to pick a hosting provider that is professional and reliable. You can easily verify if a hosting service is reliable or not by just firing some questions at their support department. The engineers must know what they are doing. Otherwise, it’s better to stay clear.

Make a quick assessment of the hosting packages. Does the offer sound reasonable to you? After all, hosting companies must be profitable too. So the hosting deal must make business sense.

Applying your common sense before signing up, and choose a provider that offers cheap and reliable hosting, and not just cheap prices.

what is the best free/cheap hosting ?
I am looking to create some websites and blogs, can you tell me what is the best hosting that offer all of these qualities in the same time :

    1. Free/cheap pricing structure (under USD 3)
    2. Fast servers ( I am from Indonesia but my sites will be international)
    3. Big capacities (storage and bandwidth)
    4. Ease of use and management (cPanel, Fantastico, etc)
    5. Any other comments for the hosting you recommend ?

Thanks so much for the help ! 🙂

You’re not going to get anywhere near what you need with a free hosting account, so take that out of your mind. Free hosting accounts are very restricted. You won’t get Fantastico or anything else of any use, the free ones will limit transfer, they’ll limit file sizes, they’ll limit file types, if they don’t do that, they’ll place ads on your pages either linking to the hosting company or ads that they will make money off of. So stay away from free, you get what you pay for.

If you’re looking for MASSIVE amounts of storage and you’re planning on hosting multiple sites, I’ve got a great site for you:

    https://www.webhostingbuzz.com/website-hosting.shtml?host_shared-hosting

for $3.95 a month you get massive storage with these guys. Unlimited mySQL’s, Fantastico with hundreds of things you can intsall, etc. It’s the best you’ll get for a limited budget anywhere. AND you get a free top level domain with them when you sign up!

For under $3, there’s not much you can get.

Here’s some under $3, but everything sucks about them.

Dollar Hosting offers plans starting at $1.00 a month
You only get 200mb of storage and 5gb of bandwidth
    http://dollar-hosting.net

1 Dollar Hosting offers plans starting at $1.00 plus setup fee
You only get 20mb of storage

    (See what I mean?)

You can’t get much storage and bandwidth for under $3:

The closest web host to what you need is Dreamhost ($5.78/month if you use the promo code) http://www.dreamhost.com/hosting.html

Their standard price is $119.40/year ($9.95/month if you pay yearly) but they currently have a promotion. You can use the promo code PLUS at sign up page and get the $50 discount + 2 Free domain names. This way you get them for $69.40/year ($5.78/month). You can use their huge Disk Space and host unlimited number of subdomains and domains on a single plan. They have a great control panel (better than cPanel) and OneClick Installs http://wiki.dreamhost.com/One_Click_Installs (like Fantastico).

    Disk space: 500 GB
    Bandwidth: 5000 GB
    2 Free domain names
    Price: $5.78/month ($69.40/year)
